Ma Familia

Untitled by santafeez
Untitled, a photo by santafeez on Flickr.

I am just beginning to understand a whole group of photographs that I took while visiting my family in June. There is a level of beauty and intimacy in them that I have yet to fully process.

Review Santa Fe 2010

The Review Santa Fe Open Viewing tonight in Santa Fe made me suddenly feel like a kid in a candy store. 100 very talented photographers and several hundred lovers of the medium all together - sharing the medium in the Hilton ballroom. Some phenomenal work - almost more than I could absorb in a short two hour visit.

Kudos to Laura Pressley and to Jessica Parker (and their team) for bringing together another showcase of very talented photographers. I suggest a visit to the Center's website where you can find links to the 2010 list of photographers - The Center.

Habitat Machines - David Trautrimas

Had the pleasure of picking up my copy of David Trautrimas - Habitat Machines today. This is the premier release of Photo-Eye Editions of Santa Fe, and it is just stunning.

The attention to detail in this limited edition first release is unbelievable.

For those of you who may not know David Trautrimas, may I suggest a visit to his website - www.trautrimas.ca .

Of special interest is his new series - The Spyfrost Project. This series will be exhibited by Photo-Eye Gallery as part of Photo LA, opening later this month.

A special thanks to Rixon and Anne at Photo-Eye for introducing me to this very talented photographer, and digital magician.

And kudos to Rixon, Vicki, Anne et al. for a splendid addition to the world of publishing.
